Semi sweet but it fades once the hair absorbs it. **Q: can you use your flat iron on your hair while using this oil** A: I wouldn’t put the oil on until after you flat iron your hair. Think of it like this, you put oil in a hot pan to fry French fries. I already purchased my second bottle! I use a little in the day and a little at night and I definitely see a difference. Personally I prefer this over any of the other hair growth oils because this one smells nice and shows quick results. It does say that you can use it in wet or dry hair, I suggest using it when your hair is dry because when I put some in my hair when it was wet it felt kinda sticky.
