These plates were not listed as being for a baby shower, but the natural pattern of the leaves is very unique and, looked tropical, to me. Since these are natural, each plate is a little bit different in pattern and coloration. I was amazed at how strong these plates are: we served heavy lasagna and the plates held up like a champ - no bending or leaking whatsoever. The pack of 150 is a terrific price for the number provided, and has the variety of both larger and smaller plates. The 'mom-to-be' liked them so much, she asked if she could take the extra plates home! As expected the forks are not sturdy enough to pick up meat. I had metal back-ups but luckily the caterer menu could be eaten with these forks.
