I probably didn't need to replace this, since it wasn't at issue, but I wanted to give the entire thing a chance again to be sure. I give credit to this part for the adhesive and sense of security it had. It's definitely not going to fall out on its own. Overall pleased with the product now, and glad this has been addressed. Metal bar that wraps around is solid and trusting that it will keep good hold of the buds. You *may* have issues if jangled around too much and beating the heck out of it (such as the case popping open and buds falling out, or lid ripping off). I was initially concerned while browsing with the clips used to attach it. The loop on the case itself is metal and wraps all the way around the case, while the clip is metal and hard plastic. Seems fairly durable to me. The main issue I have is with the top part of the case. The adhesive inside the lid is super weak, and fell off within a day of application. Mind you when i applied this I left about 1.5L of water weight on top of it (three water bottles on top of my tablet on top of the case) for over 2 hours straight. The buds themselves were new as well, so there wasn't any dirt or anything on them. The bottom half of the case seems alright, but mostly because of a more snug fit without the adhesive, which in turn assists with holding the case on the buds in addition to the adhesive. Best route they could've taken would've been to attach the lid to the base with some flexible plastic hinges. This would've ensured it stayed together, and potentially be somewhat extra protection. Could possibly be fixed with a different adhesive, but that requires work on your end and more material, so I'm not counting that with this review. EDIT: They sent me "an upgraded version to solve the adhesive problem" in the mail, which arrived yesterday. I just applied this case and it is now sitting under my tablet again with three bottles of water on top of it for the next three hours, to ensure it has the best chance at staying on. And the other thing, was that when I received my buds a few days earlier, that I noticed that the shiny beautiful Samsung buds case was a magnet for dust. I used a microfiber cloth to clean it and protect it before installing the new case. And I had the case on for at least 12 hours today, and there is absolutely no dust on that new shell. That surface does not attract dust. I love the metal I love the durability feel and quality of this product. I love the fact that the adhesive will not harm this original case that I have. Good job guys! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love it *by A***R on July 2, 2024* This is actually my second one. The first pair of "buds" I ever owned were the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. I ended up absolutely loving them. So, I wanted to get a case for it. I wasn't looking for anything "fancy" like belt clips, locks, or special features. I just wanted to put a little protection on the case from scratches and whatever can happen while it's in my pocket with keys or other objects. I decided to take a chance on this design. The material adds grip, a good solid layer of protection against everyday use, and has a belt clip that I ended up using quite often. It feels perfect in my hands and doesn't add much weight to the whole thing, so it just feels right. I actually don't perceive any added weight at all. It also happens to work with wireless charging, which was a bonus for me. Over four years later, the case is holding up strong, and the buds still provide excellent sound and battery life. But with my new phone, I received a special deal for the Buds 2 Pro, and you guessed it... I went right back to my trusty cover for the case. One negative that did stick out for me is that I use a variety of USB cables and noticed once that a cable was slightly too wide for the cover to allow fitting and charging my device. You may encounter an unusual cable out there that may simply be too large for this design. Although I must say I use many different USB-C cables and in over 4 years have only had that one issue happen, once. I wouldn't worry about it, but I do want to be honest. Pro: Simple design. Protects against common daily use. Uses an adhesive to lock cover onto case. Brings a light weight carabiner. Wireless charging functions. Color options. Value is great. Material feel great for the intended role. Cons: Not Heavy Duty. Does not have locking mechanism. Very minor potential of USB interference. No heavy weather protection. The cons I posted is for people who are looking for hard fall protection and anti-scatter. For when the case opens from an impact and your buds are playing hide and seek with you. Don't go on a marathon or extreme workouts with this thing just hanging around clipped to your bag or pants. Avoid heavy rain exposure. I live in a very humid region with lots of rain. I place these things in my pocket (I wear jeans and dress pants a lot) and it helps protect my devices as I move from one cover to another. Don't just stand around singing and dancing in the rain. This cover is not for that... or even the buds, they aren't for that. Because I put these in my pocket often I bought some basic USB-C port covers to protect against lint/dirt ingress.
