Even after painting, It seems to still leave spots where applied** A: You need to paint the repair with primer first if it's bigger than 1/2" wide to ensure you don't see a flat (vs satin, etc) spot afterwards. **Q: Will this work on plaster that had chipped off wall?** A: It absolutely works on plaster! If the wall has more of a shallow chip then you may need to use a flat edge to create that surface. You can use the cap edge or you can get a drywall knife to set it on the wall.
