It didn't work for my horse. I don't know if his adrenaline was too high or what. I am probably not a good one to help you out. I'm sorry. **Q: Is this for mares only?** A: No. It works best for geldings. It’s made with mare hormones that the mare gives to the foal to keep it calm. Never used it on a mare. **Q: Do you use rubberer gloves to apply to the horses nose?** A: You could use rubber gloves. But I just used my bare fingers. **Q: Does one packet equal one application? It didn't work for my horse so for him, this was a waste of money. It lasted maybe 10 minutes, just barely taking the edge off for that time. That being said, in all honesty, my guy is the high strung of high strung OTTBs and can be really dramatic at times.
