Surprisingly, these new shelf brackets are made in the US, but they are not as stout as the old ones. The metal is thinner. The new 14" brackets weigh less than my old 10" brackets. The new ones also fit a bit looser in the shelf standards. Also note that if you are adding to existing shelving, the design of the tabs which attach to the standard has changed. Consequently, the new brackets rest higher in the standard than the old, so old and new cannot be combined on the same shelf. These comments are the same as made by other Amazon reviewers of the 10" brackets. Note that the photo on Amazon as of April 2016 shows the old style. See my attached photos for the new and old, side by side. The second photo has the new bracket on top, and shows the difference in attaching related to the differing tabs. Despite the changes, these new brackets perform their function as intended and I am fully satisfied. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ John Sterling FAST-MOUNT Double Bracket *by M***K on Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2021* Adding to an existing Sterling Double Bracket. Originally using some 300lb rated brackets that have the angled support bar. I like these since they don’t waste as much space underneath, but I loose some of the support; these are rated at 100lbs. I have to watch my loading to insure I’m under. They seem to work well; they fit the double brackets just fine. No issues with the order or delivery. ### ⭐ Not as web site photo describes. *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2016* This was a replacement of the original order I placed. In both the original order and this one the hooks on the shelf bracket differed substantially from the photo that was displayed! The difference was sufficient so that I could not use this item. See the photograph that shows both Amazon's web site picture and the actual product.The problem is how a new bracket is added between existing shelves. According to the photo you can just slide the bracket in between shelves and attach it to the rail. The actual bracket has to be inserted at a 45 degree angle and then pivoted into final position.
