Wal-Mart only had the Coleman brand, and many other sporting goods stores had NOTHING to show in the way of a heater. Many of the current retailers lack of inventory offering which is supposedly saving them from carrying "dead stock" or "slow movers" is merely weaning cusomers OFF of the store-based retail format, and ONTO the Internet as a first-choice retail format for buying goods.I rate this heater and it's versatility a 5+. It has nothing to wear out, it's made entirely of steel, it has an adjustable heat range, it can be very HOT, and when flipped around, it can heat a pot of water in short order. I used it for heat, as well as heating a pot of water for an outside early morning swapmeet venue, and it worked great.
