I bought this one because all of the other bipra brand external hard drives came with two USB cords, one for power and one for transfer. This one didn't have the extra hole in the pictures for the power cord so I chose this one. It does however come with a Y cord (USB) For plugging it in to two ports. However I haven't noticed any difference at all In performance with both plugged in or just one, so I use it with just the single USB plugged in my pc.With only one of the USB ends connected I get transfer speeds double of my Seagate 1TB USB 3.0 external drive. I do not have any USB 3.0 ports on my computer but the Seagate still tranfers around 25 MB/s and this bipra with USB 2.0 transfers at about 45-50 MB/s with just one end of the USB plugged in.This bipra HD does take a little longer to mount than the Seagate but that is the only difference and with the transfer speeds the extra 1 second it takes to mount is worth the compromise in my opinion.All in all I am happy with my purchase. I was looking for a cheap HD to play around with and thats what I got.
