Review: Expecting good things. - I’ll be honest I have always used automotive oil in small engines and generators with a couple exceptions and knock on wood never had a problem, but I saw this and decided it’s time to use the right oil. I’ll assume it’s got whatever oil needs because I am not a fluids engineer or chemist, but I will say I like the company’s philosophy. They seem really passionate about oil and keep racking up OEM approvals. Good enough for me. I will say though MOBIL 1 synthetic according to a quick search has about the same zinc content and is cheaper. So I’m assuming there is something else special about this oil which makes it better for small air cooled engines. Other things I like are the bottle with its built in spout and the price is right compared to other air cooled small engine oils.

**Q: Can this oil be used in a 1994 omc cobra 302 i/o boat engine?  i have struggled to find a synthetic 30w oil anywhere...**
A: I have looked for a 30w synthetic oil for sometime! There is a couple of them out there! But i decided to go with the Triax Power SAE 30 because what I have been told  from a guy that been using this oil in his gas powered welders and generators for a couple of years! He is a contractor and the equipment is used hard! He swears buy it! I have change over to this oil in all my equipment that can use SAE 30! So far it has been working great!

**Q: Do you offer this in 10w-30 ?**
A: There is no reason to really, its already with a very low pour point. It will work just the same or better in any application the requires a 10W-30 oil.

**Q: According to pure power a motor oil with an api sj could be expired , is the expiration date on container ?**
A: The SJ is an older high zinc gasoline spec, this is what is required for air cooled small engines like lawn equipment. The numbers on the container are the production date and batch code. There is no expiration date for this product, shelf life, if container is closed, is 10 years +

**Q: Will this be suitable for use in a quincy air masster compressor pump that recommends 30w non-detergent?**
A: No, you would need our ISO 100 / 30w compressor oil. It will be available on Amazon next week again.
