But I had two of the locks on my bike, but it was stolen. No lock is going to stop a determined thief forever, and I don't think it's realistic to expect that. What a good lock does is make your bike a more difficult target, and this one does exactly that. Used by itself, or even better combined with another lock, it adds enough security that most thieves are likely to move on to an easier opportunity. The lock mechanism works smoothly, the key operates positively, and it always locks securely. I also appreciate that it comes with two keys, which lets me keep a spare on a separate key ring in case I ever lose one. The included frame mount worked well with my original seat post. After I upgraded to a suspension seat post, there simply wasn't enough room to keep using the mount, so I now carry the lock in one of my pannier bags instead. That's due to the changes I made to my bike, not a problem with the lock itself. Overall, this is a solid, well-built lock that gives me confidence when I leave my bike outside for a while.
