On a 10 day wilderness hike in the Sierra Nevadas. It was the first time the device was really put into practical use. On the 3rd day of the hike (9/15/2016) the Apple lightning connector broke off from the rest of cable bunch.. Luckily, I had packed an extra cable for my iPhone otherwise I would have been screwed. On extended wilderness hikes I rely on my phone's GPS apps quite a bit.
