Upgrading to Windows 11 caused the system to thrash, create a bottleneck, because of Windows 11’s need for more RAM. My computer was using 8 GB in dual-channel mode and 4 GB in single, because I had only 12GB. Now, I have 16 GB in full dual-channel mode, and it's much faster even though there is only 4 GB more RAM. So, if your computer was doing great for your purposes, with only 12 GB of RAM, before you upgraded to Windows 11, you might be satisfied with 16GB. I have a Dell Inspiron 3880, and this RAM works great with it! Just check your RAM specs with your computer manufacturer. It works with other computers, too. I have a tremor in my wrist, and I managed to install the memory anyway. I don’t use my computer for gaming. Task Manager says that I am consuming on average between 75% to 90% of my RAM regularly, but it is fine at that load.
