## Description

From the manufacturer Built-In Amp and High and Low Level Inputs Systems with a built-in amplifier do not require the addition of an external amp. They already have the power to play louder. High-level inputs accept speaker output signals and low-level inputs accept pre-amp output signals to allow for the addition of amps and processors to standard factory or aftermarket source units. MOSFET and Class A/B Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistors quickly switch from full to non-conduction for high efficiency output. Our Class-A/B amplifiers feature specific linear circuitry that increases sound quality and power output while reducing distortion and improving efficiency. Variable Low Pass Filter and Subsonic Filter Variable low-pass filter gives you control over the frequencies that pass through to the subwoofer. Subsonic filter restricts low-frequencies below the specified setting for better subwoofer protection and performance Subwoofer Level Control and Bass Boost A wired remote lets you easily control the subwoofer level for customized output and superior sound. Variable Bass Boost allows you to adjust the low bass within the boost range to just the way you like it. Short Protection Automatic shut-off protects the amplifier if it gets too hot or if speakers fail causing a short. Phase Control Phase control lets you switch the speaker phase with the amp if your speakers or subwoofer are hooked up 'out of phase'. Low Profile Low-profile subwoofers are a great choice for space-constrained areas without compromising on power and performance. Variable Input Control The Variable Input Control allows the amplifier input to match the output signal from the head unit to achieve optimum performance when adjusted properly.

Review: Quality bass with crisp thump - It is just wow I was looking for a decent bas enhancer and this one is absolutely amazing No harsh sound no extra vibration but a real depth and crisp thump. Installed it today in my ecosport. Stock speakers were good however i was missing some bass like i had in my other car with basetube but i did not want so much of noise too. This product filled that missing bass and completed overall experience. It was not expected that this much compact product could deliver quality bass. Must buy product
Review: Great sub for nearfiled 2.1 setups! - I was looking for a small sub to complete a nearfield PC setup and for some reason this caught my eye. At the price, it was possibly the cheapest compact sub out there. Since it's a car sub, it depends on cabin gain which I cannot provide so I lose about 6dB of output. I have those hooked up to a E-mu1212m which provides EQ, delay and DSP for the whole system, and a 12V 350 power supply with the fan disconnected (and that barely gets warm). I find the claim of Class AB 180W a little bemusing, given there's no external heatsink and no port. Many compact amplifiers depend on the airflow off the back off the cone to cool the amp, but this doesn't. It barely draws any current before the driver hits its limits, so I'm not sure of the claims. Eventually I will crack it open to take a look as the top cover is slightly loose and often makes more noise than the driver, so there is some work required to fix it. Anyway, the driver is is a 6x4 flat diaphragm sub in what feels like a molded ABS enclosure. The sub is sealed with no port, which I find to be a good surprise. Sealed subs will always have better transient response in general. There is a bass boost for EQing the bottom end to compensate for the driver's weakness at low frequencies. I estimate it jacks up the gain below 40Hz, or maybe 35. The LPF is variable, but the markers are either 50-150 as written on the amp, or 40-240 as written in the manual. Unless you're using a DSP externally (and set it to the max), this can be a hit and miss affair. There are high and low level inputs and a remote with a very long wire which has to be connected for the sub to work. I didn't need the remote but there's no way it will put out any sound without it, hence the control and the very long wire is in series with your input signal, probably after the LPF. High level is wired in by a 2x2 Molex jack which is provided with the sub. There's no HPF, nor any way to chain multiple units together. The sound is much better than expected, though without cabin gain it needs a bit of boost at the bottom end. I'm providing a 5% peaking HP filter at 32Hz and it's as good as it will ever get. At high levels (85dB+) the driver is straining quite hard, and the top cover begins rattling well before that, maybe 3dB lower. This is still plenty loud for a PC setup and a million times better than a Logitech or other PC system sub. My only nitpitck with the sub is that with a driver this small I should be able to cross quite high (about 80Hz), but I can't. It gets pretty muddy past 70Hz and is best kept to cross at or below 60Hz for the best balance between sub-bass and midbass. It's a pretty minor consideration though, and overall I can recommend this for compact nearfield setups - all you really need is a 12V supply.
