I can walk on the glass on top of the green house so I tie a rope onto a nearby tree and use this thing to hold me from falling or sliding off. If I were to be doing a lot of tree work or other work where I was in need of something a bit more professional I would have purchased a more professional belay device but for my small job this works. It's not perfect but I'm still here. While up on the top of the green house I was thinking that the more expensive one that works more easily would have been better but to reiterate this one works okay.
