RockportMen's Chranson Walking Shoe

i was surprised how well these shoes fit and molded to my feet. They are soft and yet still offer very good support. I replaced the inserts with SOLE orthotics (purchased from Amazon) and now I just hope the shoes last a long time, because I plan to spend a lot of time in them.The shoes have a kind of suede-like quality that begs for some kind of treatment; I applied Mink Oil to the shoes with good results and no detriment to their appearance.The round laces that come with these shoes tend to come untied easily, but of course they can be replaced.

I would definitely repurchase these shoes. They're well designed (similar to the KEEN style), durable, comfortable, and light. I use them for work.

There are comfortable, good quality and like the style.

My new Rockport Chransons have become my favorite 'go-to' shoes for my work these days. I am a pharmacist, and standing on my feet all day as I do, I need a comfortable shoe with a considerable amount of support in the arch/heel region. These lightweight shoes definitely are everything the manufacturers claim they are; lightweight, supportive, and comfortable. I am a size 11 D and, as much as I like these shoes, must express some minor criticism regarding the fit of this shoe for prospective buyers. My first criticism is that each of my big toes were pressed against the front of their respective shoe. This made me consider returning my purchase in exchange for a 1/2 size larger. I decided to allow them to stretch out a bit and wore them for the next week or so as an experiment. I'm happy to relate that this strategy worked for me, since the toe box DID stretch out sufficiently with wear. Nevertheless, many of you reading my review may want to purchase this shoe in a larger size. I didn't find the toe box to be too narrow for me, but the toe box was a tad short for me initially. I've never purchased the Rockport brand before, and have traditionally relied on other brands like Ecco and Brooks over the years. Without exception, I have have found the Ecco and Brooks brands of shoe to be consistent in sizing for my feet. This was NOT the case with my first Rockport purchase, so forewarned is forearmed. Two months have elapsed since I initially purchased my Rockports and I still find them to be extremely comfortable shoes to walk about and stand in while at work. I have plantar fasciitis and also wear a custom heel/arch support from GoodFeet. They slide underneath the standard insole and fit quite well. I highly recommend these lightweight, comfortable, and supportive shoes and would gladly purchase them again. Rockport certainly seems to be a great brand of shoe---just be careful with the sizing(specifically the length rather than the width). I hope this helps prospective buyers.

I purchased these shoes in March of 2024. They were very comfortable and I was pleased with them until yesterday, when I noticed a large split where the shoe top and sole meet. There is a defect in materials and or assembly causing the shoe to split open.I first contacted Amazon and they only handle returns for the first 30 days. Nothing afterwards. I then reached out to Rockport customer service and they informed me that Rockport does not support warranty on defects if purchased through Amazon Rockport store, as stated in copied communication below. Apparently The "Rockport Store" isn't directly associated to Rockport. This shoe is light and comfortable (if you replace the insole with an orthotic) and true to size; however, it is very flat so your favorite orthotic is mandatory. If you are a casual mall walker or always walk on improved surfaces in good weather, maybe this shoe is fine. But if you regularly walk on trails in inclement weather and mud, the very shallow tread on this shoe won’t do. The price is right on this shoe, but I wonder whether it is built to last for a year of nearly daily trail walking. I will be replacing these with trail shoes after only a month. HH

I have ceramic tile floors, concrete patio & live on a steep hill. Dr. said to get some good walking shoes & these are perfect.

I need a wide shoe and these were very comfortable. Nice looking

Es un zapato ligero y muy cómodo para caminar que no maltrata el pie. Su único inconveniente es el agua, si se moja (por lluvia o por pasar por charcos) debe dejarlo al menos 3 días al sol para que se oree de otra forma adquiere un olor no muy agradable. De ahí en fuera es un excelente zapato.

These shows look nice and are great for walking. Better looking than a sneaker but just as comfy. Got to take on vacation for day and night use. Rockports are a great brand.

Las compré buscando zapatos de mi número con la horma ancha. Por suerte muy bien de tamaño y muy cómodas desde el primer momento. Desconozco la evolución y como se comportarán con el día a día, pero por ahora geniales recién estrenadas.
