Review: Fantastic value for what you get. A really good way to get started on video making - So far I've really enjoyed using the feelworld field monitor. It's great being able to see exactly what I will be capturing and also handy for doing a selfie-style mode for when I'm recording video at home or when I'm at an event and need to see what the camera is seeing. It works pretty well for my Nikon. I had to get another hdmi cable and a separate battery unit for it but when it's all plugged in and setup it's pretty straightforward to use. The screen is a little reflective but it's not too bad, otherwise it is a very high quality bit of kit and great for when you start moving onto video work. It has a cold shoe so your microphone RODE etc can fit on quite snuggly. I would recommend this monitor for it's price.
Review: Great value, but leaves you with a lot to think about - The first thing I want to say is that the display on this is excellent for the money - I was surprised I could get anything this good for this much. It works brilliantly in my home studio hooked my Sony A7R3, using mains power. However, you need to consider these things before you buy one: * no power source is included, so consider this for your total cost. I went mains as I had neither supported batteries. After investigation I found Sony battery packs are huge and heavy, the Canon ones are small and lighter but have limited run time. Mains power is readily available, I got this Kepler 2A unit https://www.desertcart.co.uk/gp/product/B0711FB8WH/ which works great and has a good cable length * The menu system isn't fun to use, and it's not touch screen. The buttons feel cheap too. For this reason, set up your function buttons straight away (particularly if you plan to flip it over * I needed it as a vlogging monitor, and cabled using the HDMI out into my 9 year old iMac. I get only a very slight delay - so very manageable for live work. I'm using a SouthSky HDMI>USB converter which is working well so far https://www.desertcart.co.uk/gp/product/B088TTDWCL/ until I get my new M powered Mac, when I'll go with a USB C version and hopefully lose some of the lag. I've set up the HDMI output settings in my camera's 'favourites' menu, so it's really easy to configure, and stored the video settings into one of my custom modes for quick access. The HD video quality is amazing (not using 4K for streaming, only recordings) and face detection is working really well even at wide apertures. I've paired it with a Rode Wireless GO which clips onto the accessory bracket nicely, in just the right spot. All in all I'm happy with my basic rig, and will probably go for some aftermarket F970s to cut out the power cable. If you get one, it will definitely lead to more spending - so consider this if you're just starting out and on a budget.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it work on Black Magic pocket cinema camera 4K?**
A: It will be able to display via HDMI but the 8.4v DC output from the monitor is not sufficient to power the camera with a dummy LP-E6 battery. I tried it and upon recording, the monitor would flicker and go dark after a few seconds and the power to camera shut off. If I turn on the monitor again and restart recording the same would happen again. So don't rely on the DC output for BMPCC 4k.

**Q: does this work with android smartphones?**
A: If you got a dongle or cable that goes from your phone to HDMI (just like you would to connect to a TV), you could use it with a phone. However, I don’t know why you would, this monitor isn’t much bigger than the average phone screen (especially if you own a plus size phone)… seems like unnecessary gear to carry around, and any of the features it offers you could get with an app like FilmicPro. Not to mention this thing drains batteries super quick so that’s added cost and weight.

**Q: Is there a cage available that fits this monitor?**
A: No Monitor Cage Available

**Q: can you monitor on the camera monitor and camera's screen at the same time?**
A: It may depend on the camera, but most cameras allow this. Check your manual. Some cameras can't output high frame rates via HDMI (120FPS and up, 60 should be fine).

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Monitor
*by P***Y on 11 May 2023*

This monitor suits my needs perfectly. I am an amateur film maker (Short film and Documentary) I previously used a 9" monitor but found it too heavy. The feelworld is perfect at 6" and very very light. The image on screen is very sharp and being able to swivel is great for those awkward shots. Usable outdoors also with hood attached. Powering options are brilliant: 12v dc, USB, Canon or Sony battery. Menu and features are all most users (Including professionals) will need. You won't get better in the price range. Yes I would recommend the Feelworld to other film makers.
