They need to be hand washed and hung to dry. They are a loose weave and can snag or separate easily so cannot be handled roughly.What is good about them is that they are very generous in size, are lightweight so in summer they are very comfortable to wear even on the hottest, stickiest summer day in Florida, they pack down to a tiny package, never wrinkle, and literally take about 5 minutes to dry when washed. I have found these to be the perfect travel hijab as well as a shawl and (aware these are NOT cotton bandana weight) am also finding myself grabbing them way more than I expected now I'm home. They drape beautifully, are rich colors and look good no matter what.
