These are a less expensive option than the Smart Wools I previously owned, and they have lasted a lot longer. They also are an improvement in overall comfort due to the design of the shape and stitching. These are great for wearing under work clothes on cold commutes or for a base layer for outdoor exercise in the winter. These wash well and do not get any pilling of material after multiple laundry cycles. I have not had the need to launder them after every use because they vent away moisture so well and do not seem to get stinky at all. The fit of these is extremely comfortable and are never too hot to wear all day in the office.I paid full price for this product. I wear merino wool on top or on my legs every day 9 months of the year. These are high waisted on me....higher than in the photo...which is fantastic They have a little cuff at the ankle which should help that area from bagging out, a common way merino begins to wear over time. I have washed them on delicate cycle and thrown them over the line instead of drying. Excellent performance in the laundry. I will purchase another pair soon as two of my Smartwools have holes or ravels (more than a decade old.)I wear these over a pair of yoga pants. Sizing is correct. If I wore as a next to skin layer I would wear an extra small.
