But this gadget is really an odd design. It is hard to see the fluid level, and it is quite hard to remove unused and recondensed smoke liquid (because the spout on the bottle will not easily bend so that it can apply suction to remove fluid without allowing more fluid to enter. The trigger is awkward, and must be held at half-pull for several seconds to heat the liquid before a full pull starts smoke. Must be repeated each time after you let it off to stop smoke. Smoke will go all over without the associated adapter tip. The word clunky comes to mind. The manufacturer is a toy company and this feels like a toy. The adapter tip fits over the outlet of this device and has a tiny fan which pulls smoke from the puffer and directs it out the small nozzle. The adapter tip is built like a toy watergun, about the same cheap quality. The puffer feels a bit more substantial but not much. It all works only vertically but that isn't a major issue. I am not very impressed, HOWEVER, I would still purchase it over the acidic tubes previously used, not only because of a much better aerosol r.e. irritation, but also cost- this entire rig cost about what ten acid tubes cost, and this will go a lot further. I do wish I had bought this kit in the case, which is offered as a complete set -better deal and you get the case. And I wish the manufacturer would redesign a much better device for usability using the same principal. Also we have not used it nearly enough to comment on durability, but I am not very hopeful (I hope to be pleasantly surprised). I also don't know about storage durability-we won't be using it frequently, tried to remove all unused and re-condensed smoke fluid, but won't know for a while about ease of immediate reuse after storage. ### ⭐ Useless & Messy *by A***A on December 9, 2018* Doesn’t do anything well; and makes an oily mess throughout. In order to get any smoke out of it, you have to to squeeze the handle so hard you can feel the cheap plastic case flex and distort in your hand. When the smoke does come out, its impossible to direct towards anything; it just spreads everywhere. The funnel caps only fit the fan attachment and the fan pushes the smoke to fast for tasks like leak or draft testing. Additionally, the smoke this thing generates only seams to last in the ambient air for a couple seconds; and wouldn’t be capable of tracing conduits or pipe runs for instance. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great price, great company. *by C***K on October 4, 2017* I work in HEPA filter certification.This is a handy little tool.
