Assuming the tailgate of your 2016 Chevy 2500 HD is the same width as my 2016 GMC Denali which is 61 inches you can fit 3 racks. My Denali is a shot bed so I have to turn the front wheel for the bikes to fit. the length of the bed. Small security improvements needed *by G***A on April 20, 2025* This rack has been very convenient for transporting my road bike in the truck bed. I really like being able to keep the front wheel on while keeping the bike very secure for travel. The lock mechanism is pointless as you could easily cut the rubber feet and take the bike and rack in a few seconds, so security could be improved. I wish they had a multiple bike version of this as we often cary 2 or 3 bikes. The price was a bit higher then I would like but there isn't another rack like this.
