    This is both a delightful story and an excellent teaching tool – ideal for literacy lessons and to inspire creative writing in young children.  Subtitled, “How to cook up your very own book!” this literally gives children the recipe they need to write their own stories.The little girl in this story decides that she is going to cook a book – what does she need?  Words obviously – although choosing the right ones can be tough.  Characters, of course.  Plus lots of things to add flavour…  This covers everything from the words needed to punctuation and will encourage your child to try writing a story of their own.  With great illustrations, this story is both visually exciting and fun to read aloud.  Plus, it may encourage your own child to begin putting ideas on paper in a gentle and fun way.  Pretty much a perfect book!
