So to answer your question, no, it will not work with the older unit. I did find a newer model Fiskars paper cutter for about $35.00 on line (slightly used, but in great condition). I absolutely love it for trimming photos. **Q: Is this strip 12” or 15”? My fiskars cutter is 12”, but the strip itself is 15”.** A: I also have a Fiskar paper trimmer with a 15 inch strip. Apparently, the original ones have been discontinued in the interest of planned obsolescence. I found one, old stock, on Ebay. **Q: How can it be used 8 times?** A: It can actually be used 1000's of times. But the blade cuts slightly off center, so it Canberra rotated to its 4 sides, and then flip it and rotate 4 more times.
