They let in just as much light as a regular pair of sunglasses. Second, when you put the glasses on they squeeze your head while leaving scratch marks from the frames being so rough. They are not a sturdy pair of glasses. What a waste of money. I can't return them, I tried to return them the day I got them but the item isn't returnable. I tried to get ahold of the company now over a month ago, and no luck yet. I tried to get ahold of them too see if they would replace or refund the money, but I've gotten no response back. I am legally blind and the light really hurts my eyes. These were almost blackout glasses. That was perfect. About 2 weeks after getting them, they slipped out of my hand and landed on the kitchen table. One lens popped out. They fell, not hard, only about 2-3 feet. The lens won't go back in so I am out my pair of glasses. DO NOT drive with these on!I wanted super dark lenses to make my floaters less visible, but wearing these is a safety hazard. The sun is actually brighter with these things on. It's like taking a picture and turning the contrast way up so the darker things become darker and the lighter things become lighter.
