He saw this toy at a local store that was asking a lot more than what I paid here on amazon. It's been his favorite toy the past couple days since it arrived and he won't let it out of his sight. The toy is well made and very safe for children. I've seen a similar large school bus at a toy store that my son showed interest in but that one was very cheaply made from a flimsy plastic and had lots of sharp edges to it so I didn't buy it for him. I'm so glad to have found this one. According to the packaging, the plastic used on this bus is free of BPA, PVC, and other chemicals and is food-safe quality. It can even be run in the dishwasher. Its also recommended for ages 1+ so you know its very safe. From my own observation, the plastic used is very thick and strong with no protruding pieces that could break off and become a hazard. The few parts that make up this toy are snapped together so there are no metal screws or wheel axles that will rust or fall off. Like another reviewer said, the wheels roll surprisingly well, especially considering they don't have a metal axle. The bus is also large enough where he can place smaller toys in it through the open roof and make them ride along as he pushes it around our living room. This is one toy that I'm happy to have purchased for him and feel is worth every penny.
