A: Too small

**Q: Will a magnet stick to them?**
A: I just tried and a rare earth magnet pulled it out of my hand

**Q: can they be painted without special prep?**
A: Yes. I have used paint on them & finger nail polish on them

**Q: Will these work on tacking slip covers?**
A: I would order upholstery tacks instead. They will be better able to go through material and also the wood frame of the chair, sofa etc. with a longer spike.
