Originally my thought was to replace the battery, so once I did that it work. Come to find out it wasn't the battery at all. In order to place the sensor in "pairing mode" you have to take the battery out and put it back in. Once you do that then open and close the sensor by the keypad, the keypad will recognize it and you should be good to go.
