I actually looked forward to breakfast because I enjoyed this one the most. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty good but cook thoroughly. *by M***L on October 9, 2025* After many years of seeing these freezdried meals I decided to finally test one out on a recent camping trip. Impressions : 1. The packaging is a little bulkier than what you could carry/pack yourself if you are trying to space save while backpacking, may be worth repacking into ziploc if planning to use within a day or so. 2. Preparation: boiling water was easy. while I stirred thoroughly, It did not fully mix and I ended up with some “undercooked” bits at the bottom. Make sure you stir well in bottom creases of bag. 3. Taste and portion was pretty good for one person and I felt satisfied. Although some of the sausage chunks were a bit hard/underhydrated even though I followed the directions on the bag. I’d recommend pouring the entire contents of the bag into your boiling water pot and keep heating for a minute or so before pouring back into original bag to finish soaking, to help fully cook through. Or repack in ziploc and just cook as desired in your camp pot if you don’t mind cleaning it afterwards.
