After reading previous reviews, I knew not to expect it to last more than one use. For the price, I didn't mind that as long as it served its purpose for the ceremony and it did. We put curtains on it and made it look very cute. My husband wanted to get more use of it so he planned to try to use it for our cucumber garden but as he took it down, each rung began to break apart so we had to throw it away.If you put it up somewhere and DO NOT move it or attempt to take it apart, I think that it will be perfect! If you want it for a wedding, five stars because it's affordable and cute!If you want it for plants, I'm not sure how well it may hold up depending on your weather. Completely put together it looks SO tall, it was hitting my ceiling tiles haha so I took one level off for storage but in order to clear my fiance's head and look good in photos I'll have to have in the original height. It's not the most sturdiest of arches, but for the price and the intended use, it was fine. I had my husband drill holes in two boards. I then put the legs into the holes and hot glued them in place to hold the arch in a steady position while I decorated it (until they've been secured to something, the legs will tend to move/spread out). I used a roll of white plastic table covering and draped it over the top and sides to hide the side pole braces. Then, using the same roll of plastic table covering, I added a layer of tulle (looks like a wedding veil material). I cinched both the layers in the middle and attached at the top of the arch and draped it down each side of the front - about 1 third of the way down (and then again about 2 thirds of the way down), on each side, making a big blousy pouf and cinching with wire and a bow. Then I let the rest flair out and puddle on the ground. I placed flowers in the center at the top (matching the brides color palette) and cinched with another bow. It turned out absolutely beautiful. As for the sturdiness, I decorated the inside my home. (By having the front legs hot-glued and inserted into the two drilled holes of one of the boards and the rear legs hot-glued and inserted into the second board (I used a regular cheap wooden garden stakes for my boards), that prevented the legs from separating and the top curve of the arch from changing positions and altering any of the appearance of the decorating. It also allowed me to move the decorated arch several times. I moved it into two different rooms while decorating it inside the house - having to tilt it each time. Then I had to tilt it and get it through the front door and around to the garage (tilting it again) where it stayed until the wedding day. Then I moved it, once more, outside to the top of the hill where the wedding was to take place. I was going to place the legs of the arch into the ground at that point, but decided to just leave it on the boards covering them with more of the white plastic table covering. (I did drill another hole into the board and secured the arch to the ground by hammering in a 12" spike (which I fortunately just happened to have laying around). I made sure to warn the minister about the boards (didn't want the preacher tripping and falling flat during the service). He stepped inside the arch and performed the ceremony with the bride and groom standing in front of the arch. It was a beautiful setting and I got so many compliments that I couldn't keep count. It remained outside overnight and got rained on - and it still survived the final move back into the garage to dry out. I have no idea what to do with it now, and it seems such a shame to tear it apart.
