For walking between a prep area like a locker room and the ice, they're perfect. Guards can be a little finicky to put together but the instructions are very clear. Make sure the screws face opposite directions and screw them in all the way with the springs fitted, so the springs move down the screws and sit snugly against the plastic. The included cloth is fine.
