It has helped me a lot, especially at times when the item isn't specific enough and I'm tempted to buy it. Having said all of that I started looking and find that any decent brand of wipers doesn't come in 26", so if your windshield upper area is slanted enough that it's not directly hindering your vision then just go for it.
