Appreciate their immediately making it right! This was supposed to be a brand new steam shower unit. Just opened the box to have the installer install this item and he found out that it was obviously used. It had calcium buildup not only on the outside fitting but also on the inside of the unit. Plus the adhesive part of the control panel had been stuck to something previously. I have contacted desertcart Customer Service and they were very helpful however it was from a 3rd party and that I have to deal with them to return the unit. The return window has closed while we were readying the bathroom renovation to the point that we were ready to install. Will happily update this review if they provide NEW replacement . Review: This one is much better. Have a 48" X 30"X 80" steam shower ... - This replaced a Kohler 7W instant on stream generator. This one is much better. Have a 48" X 30"X 80" steam shower with a seat. The Steam Planet is more comfortable than the Kohler (it was way to hot or produced a larger volume of steam for this somewhat small shower) My wife will now use the steam shower again. It has a external temp senor. The temp of the controller swings more than the last unit which was internal senor in the key pad. It will drop 3 degrees and then start generating steam again, but find this setup more comfortable. Only had the unit for a few months, but use it every day in the winter (15 minutes at 113, then rise with cold water for less than a minutes, then another 4 minutes back at 113). Love it. The only complaint is that is take longer to start, about 4 minutes. I put this unit in a shower area that is about 100 cubic feet and it heats up well...as hot as you can stand.
