**Q: Would it be good to swing around and it wouldn't break or rattle?**
A: It will not last in battle that's for sure. I lost a lot of good men because its shoddy craftsmanship. Mike had a family. Phil was going to be on American Idol. And TeX was going to propose to Maria when he got back.

**Q: Can I defend my village with it?**
A: ...no...its display use only...not reenactment attire and i dispise viking reenactments especialy those in the north east divisions of NEOvik (north east ovio vikings) and others in missourri, virginia, georgia.

**Q: Is it sharp?**
A: It is not sharp at all, but I believe it could be sharpened.

**Q: would this be a good training axe, if used in form perfecting and techniques?**
A: For playing around it would be good but the blade is too flimsy for cutting anything. I bought for the blade, I remounted it on a longer handle and mounted it on my wall.

I found this item while looking for Viking Replica weapons as a gift for someone special who loves everything about the Vikings. It certainly sounded impressive for the price and looked great in the picture. I found the Axe to be even more impressive when I received it. It was perfect and the pricing was fantastic. Ok, so let's get this out of the way. This is a showpiece. I would not buy this to use in any sort of combat, at least without substantial modification. From a male's perspective...that being said, this thing is pretty awesome. It's a bohemoth for certain. Translation: it's friggin huge! It will look awesome on your wall, but make sure it's in a man cave room or a home office or something. Your significant other will not be ok with this hanging on the living room wall. The blade is massive and reasonably dangerous, and should not be handled by most children...and some adults. This thing is such a beast it almost destroyed the packaging it came in. The UPS driver said, "Damn dude! You have an axe in there or something?" I said, "Yes. There's an axe in there." If I had one gripe it would be the lack of some kind of sheath. But, these didn't necessarily historically have sheaths so I understand. It would just help for the trip from the warehouse to the front door so the delivery driver doesn't fear for his life. And hey, it's under $30. Buy it for your pointy s--t collection right now.
