It comes with a LIFETIME WARRANTY and is 100% made in the USA. Hang your heavy punching bag and know it will never fail. Firstlaw Fitness manufactures 4 different styles of heavy bag mounts that are designed to attach to wooden floor joist. The Wood Beam Mount (provides no vibration absorption) - The Joist Mount (provides good vibration absorption) - The Shock Mount (provides very good vibration absorption) - The Spider Mount (provides the best vibration absorption you can buy). The overall length is 4-1/2" long. Thank you again. **Q: Will it keep the chains noise down** A: No. To reduce chain noise get a Hanger spring for a porch chair rated for about 300 lbs. This will make a huge difference in the chain/bag noise. **Q: Does this mount into the thin side on the 2" x 8" open ceiling joist? Meaning the 2" part on the bottom of the joist.** A: Yes it will mount directly to the joist if you desire. How I set mine up was I built a base that I attached with screws to two joists which will distribute the weight on both joists instead of one.
