Has an appropriate weight to it, and feels well balanced. IT IS SHARP, even for a thick blade I was able to shave some hair off the back of my hand right out of the bag. The blade came well oiled and we'll packaged so I gave it a quick wash and oiled the blade with cooking oil I would suggest keeping it oiled. My only small complaint is that the brand of the knife deceivingly has demascus in it. At the price point I kind of assumed it wouldn't be a true demascus blade, and it isn't it is forged from plate steel but they should really pull demascus off the product name.
