I'm extremely picky when it comes to cutters and have tried all of them. I hate the swing cutters because they move your page and suck at being precise. I hate the Fiskars track cutters because the plastic bows and wobbles to make an uneven straight line if you press too hard. But this cutter is great. It has a hard solid edge so no wobbly lines and cuts fast. I'm usually cutting thick transparency paper which is like a plastic and this has no problem cutting through it. In the past I've also noticed a lot of my paper cutters take a couple passes to cut through the thicker paper and the blades dull quickly. This blade is made of whatever metal that it doesn't seem to be dulling anytime soon. It's also nice that the cutter has a storage area for extra replacement blades.
