One user says there are no instrctions** A: Mine came with a little screw driver to use to screw the screw with the “washer” into the foam backing still attached to the roof of the vehicle. The problem comes when you screw in the screw most of the time the material twists with the screw. Making a hole in the material before you attempt to screw might prevent some, but not all of the twisting. THEN, many times pushing the on cover button releases any grip the screw had in the foam. About half of mine have come loose. I have heard, but not seen, similar products that have the button attached to the screw eliminating that problem.
