You'll also need a free 4-pin molex connector to supply power, but that's not much of an issue.Recently, I took out the Pioneer Blu-Ray DVD player / normal DVD burner of my laptop and replaced it with a 750GB Western Digital drive to act as the storage drive for my SSD, and shifted the "DVD" duties to an external ByTecc USB 3.0 5.25 drive converter for a basic ASUS DVD writer. Short version - my laptop has a 256GB SSD for programs and 750GB for storage of files with an external DVD burner running off USB 3.0. I then had a Blu-Ray laptop DVD player with no real usage.So, Lian Li bay converter plus Starline converter = extra storage in 5.25" bay and extra DVD burner. The other thing is that if you plan on doing this sort of thing, one of these little 20-inch converters are more or less required. StarTech happens to be one of the few companies that make these - they also happen to be the best one out there.One thing I don't particularly like is that this converter doesn't have a 6/GBs connection - but since you're slapping it to a DVD burner, you're not going to need that vast speed interchange. But that's my Picky McPickerson coming out, and the only reason this wouldn't get a full five stars.Call me a design nerd, but I do tend to like to have the capacity to go full throttle even if it's technologically not going to happen.
