I ordered this deck box and I put most of it together and when I unwrapped the top, the top was seriously damaged. I tried to contact Smith Family Mills to inquire about getting just a replacement top and left messages and never received a response. I had to disassemble the whole deck box and send it back. I really liked the look of it so I ordered a replacement. The second unit came in and was not damaged. I am completely dissatisfied with the quality of the top. The cedar planks have gaps in them which I am sure will allow water to get into the box. There is no way to prop open the lid without holding it. The pictures on the website do not match the actual top. The website shows cedar on the underneath of the top with a support bar for the props.
