It will protect your shackles well. **Q: Does this work with the shackle? What does it do?** A: It can prevent shackles from crack, warp or corrode effectively. **Q: Do these have any 'flex' to them, as in being able to bend them just a little? Or are they a hardened rubber? I'm not using them on shackles.** A: They do have some bend to them. Not a lot but you can flex and twist them. **Q: What's the thickness of the washers?** A: Hi.
