There were no issues when initially plugging it into my computer, just really "plug and play". As far as sound goes, it sounds fantastic, there does not seem to be any type of sound degradation while using the splitter. The item itself looks to be very well made with higher quality materials, it does not feel like it will easily break or unravel anytime soon. It also came in a resealable, (higher quality) plastic pouch with their brand on it.
