It's thin, but still protects the phone. I've dropped my phone a few times and I have a toddler so she's always grabbing it and it's still in great shape! I immediately notified the seller's customer service and they responded within the hour with the offer of sending me a replacement since I have only had it for one week. The case exterior is made of tempered glass, which could be slippery, but that is how it has a glossy/shiny and beautiful look.
