I started buying them online a few years ago. In fact, I've bought Skechers on Amazon 12 times. They WERE my go-to sneakers. Comfortable and durable.Never again.Skechers must have switched suppliers because even though I buy the EXACT same style every time (except one) these are the FLIMSIEST sneakers I've ever seen. The last few pairs have been questionable but this last pair was DOA.After a few weeks of normal wear there is already a hole in the sidewall.I noticed the last few times that Skechers was using thinner material. The toe kick used to come over the toe. Not anymore. Even the shoelaces are shorter (no kidding!). It all adds up to cheaper material, less material, thinner material.These sneakers DO NOT LAST like theey used to.So after 12 pair on Amazon (plus a few before then) GOOD BYE SKECHERS!*****Don't believe me? Then this same shoe started having loose and unraveled stitching around the eyelets and other locations, primarily only on the left shoe.Then just two weeks ago, the same separation process started on the right shoe, first one side and then soon enough the other too! This right shoe became unattached far more quickly than the right one and just last night I heard a muffled 'pop' sound, only to find that the entire front of the sole on the right shoe has separated nearly two inches back from the toe of the shoe!And then there's the entirely separate ODOR ISSUE! Geez Louise, but these shoes STINK, BADLY! Whatever synthetic materials used to line these and the insole too, is made from creates a foul, lingering stench that forces me to keep these shoes out of my closet, my bedroom! NASTY STINK, GAGS ME!My only gratification is knowing I bought them with gift cards and only actually spent $8 out of pocket for these extremely disappointing shoes! I would have hated to be reliant upon them for heavy duty hiking and such, I just use them as everyday shoes, and even at that level of expectation, they failed. Within a couple of months, the sneaker started separating from the sole at the side, and now on both sneakers, the padding at the heel has worn away and a rough piece of plastic is exposed giving me blisters on my heel. And I am not hard on sneakers. I don't go hiking or running around. I have a desk job. These shoes should have lasted a year or two like the last pair of Costco brand sneakers I bought. See photo to see where the seam started separating. This is not a part of the shoe that gets any stress, its just crappily put together. Horrible horrible quality!
