It's the size of a large pancake, or an ice cream cone if you were to unfold it and lay it out. I have been looking for a crepe pan and I think this is much better. I just got it and I tried a small batch. All you do is spoon the batter (one spoon and a half) onto the pan after heating it up first, close it, flip it over and in seconds, it's done. No need to butter or grease the pan. I put a little butter in the batter. I'm still figuring out how to adjust the heat so that it browns evenly. If you brown it too much, it becomes a crispy wafer and you can't fold it. I made one by mistake and I have to tell you, a little bit of caramel and nuts on top and you got yourself a delicious dessert. You can make them soft, but they won't brown much, and fold them like a crepe. I sprinkled mine with a little bit of powdered sugar and cinnamon and my family couldn't keep their hands off of them. They're so light. You will love it. I think it's worth the money. It's not expensive. There are no instructions. So u basically have to do a trial run. I put 1 tablespoon of homemade waffle cone mix in the center of waffle maker. I have a gas stove. It's on high. Once mix stops sliding on maker, then II close top lid down, put on fire, press til I see the mix come to the edge of maker, wait a second, then clip the handles together to flatten. If you dont wait a second before clipping handles, the mix will spill out. Give it a moment to cook before clipping handle. Then cook a lil over 1 min. Make sure the maker is in center of fire or the waffle cone will not cook evenly. 2 min is too long. Cone will burn fast. Then after a minute and maybe 15 seconds. Take off the stove. Unclip handle. Remove from maker immediately because the cone maker is hot and seems to still cook the mix. The side that looks lighter should face towards ceiling. Darker side of cone should face down. Get your cone molder. I just used aluminum foil, shaped it into a cone. Roll it on your molder in an angle. Warning: cone is hot!!!. Then pinch the bottom to close it. It hardens fast. Remove mold because if it hardens while mold is still inside cone. You will ruin cone trying to get mold out. And that's it. Store it in a container. I have a child who has milk and soy allergy. The recipe I used doesnt have milk. And I use soy and dairy free butter. All cones came out different colors. Because there is no temperature control when using stovetop.
