How long does it take for product to work?** A: In general for this question or any other, if your cat has terrible diarrhea, this product, has saved my cat's lives. Most cats like it, I had one cat, that had straight diarrhea, after I had taken him to the vet and saved him, because somebody threw him out in middle of winter, he was so sick. Well the shots to get him better gave him diarrhea, they gave me stuff from the vet, to stop it, it didn't stop it, and I tried all kinds of different products and I tried all kinds of different diets, and nothing works, but this did. It saved his life, it's saving another cash like that I have right now, and you can't go by the directions, what you need to do, if they like it is put it on every a type of wet food you can give them not dry, wet, I mean I guess you could try it on dry but they're really going to get it in the wet food, and go ahead and just put as much as you need to come and order a box a week. I have three cats, they all love it, and so I give it to all of them, because it's good for them but the one, he has to have it, enough, he's having a problem walking and different things, because he has some kidney problems, but this has vitamins in it, as well as other things, that have literally saved my cat's lives turn the stool solid, even my cat now, when he starts to have more of a problem walking, I up the dosage on this, and just give him more, and I just ordered a box a week and it just give him more and more and more, you cannot give him then too much of this. Once their stools get solid, sometimes you can never take them off if it comes so it can get very expensive yes, but, you could also try it for 6 months or something like that or a few months, and see where you stand and then lower the dosage, and see if it is fixed the problem. Depending on where your cat came from, if it was a rescue, if it came from outside, even if it has a health issue, yes, it should always be taken to the vet, but never ruled out this product, ever. The reason I'm mentioning this, and I'm writing this review, which I don't normally do, is because it is literally saving one of my animals lives right now, and it saved his best friend, when I saved him off the street, and he pretty much had pneumonia. He had to go back for his shots three times, because he was so sick, and those shots, will give him a real kick in the butt, as far as causing diarrhea, even though they clear up any respiratory infections or anything else. This stuff is magical, but if you really read into it it has vitamins, it has a lot of things in it, that are essential, do not rule it out, and do not replace it with anything else, cuz there is nothing else that is better out there than this. Couldn't be happier and neither could my furry friend! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was like a miracle *by S***. on 9 October 2016* I have a cat with a sensitive stomach that can sneak and eat some of her sister's food (a different brand) and immediately get diarrhea the next day and it is hard to get rid of. I mix this in her food and it stops it. I first was introduced to it when my cats got tried some raw type canned food and both became ill with fevers, vomiting and diarrhea. The vet prescribed Hills I/D and the Fortiflora mixed with it. It was like a miracle. I had tried everything before taking them to the vet. Within a day this took care of it. After my sensitive cat ate some of her sister's food and got diarrhea again. I used this and it worked. I now mix it with her food on a daily basis and it keeps her with a solid stool. If she starts with the vomiting I switch back to the Hill's I/D with the Fortiflora mixed in and the vomiting stops also. After a few days I switch her back to her regular food with the Fortiflora added to it. I don't care for Purina products but these two do the trick. If a cat vomits or has diarrhea all the time they are going to have dehydration that can be life threatening and what good is food with the best ingredients if they throw it up. I would rather use these two products (even though I don't like the ingredients) if it keeps her food in her and settles her stomach till I can get her back on track eating her regular food.
