## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this have the "vegan grit" texture?**
A: I agree with manual. However, using the same nut milk to blend these, some batches thicken more than others. So far, my favorite is Snickerdoodle which thickens quite a bit but there isn’t any grit. I’m not impressed with the PB or PBJ. The hot cocoa reminds me of tootsie roll and actually has mini vegan marshmallows! Other interesting flavors are blueberry muffin, banana pancake, and pecan praline. I’m waiting for sample singles of cookies and cream hit inventory to try directly through their website. Their customer service chat has been spectacular. I have only ordered 1 large container of Snickerdoodle through Amazon.

**Q: How much tryptophan is in this?**
A: Doesn’t say.

**Q: How do you prepare this?**
A: I just added either water or lactaid milk. Then used a food processor to mix it. I didn't use this flavour but they're all prepared the same way. The instructions are on the container and a scoop is included inside the container.

**Q: How much iron is in this?**
A: I don’t currently have this flavor, but the two Steel Supplements vegan proteins I do have (hot chocolate and peanut butter) show no iron on the nutrition labels.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Nice idea but it didn’t hit the mark

It doesn’t taste like cookies, but it does taste better than it smells. I like the fact that it’s plant based and they tried this flavor but I won’t be buying it again.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sweet tooth health conscious people rejoice!
*by G***T on April 10, 2026*

As someone who has tried many different vegan protein powders, Steel is my freaking FAVORITE! Not only do they have a ton of flavors and the macros rule, they also seem to be a great company that's just trying to make solid products. I've ordered almost every single flavor and have been using this protein in my shakes or pre workout cream of rice every day since January 2026. My favorite flavors so far are the cookies and cream, peanut butter, peanut butter cookies and cream, and chocolate. I can't wait to try the hot chocolate next. I want a huge fan of the pumpkin spice or gingersnap, but if you like cinnamon, you'd probably really enjoy those. Even then, I finished those tubs. I have a big sweet tooth and this stuff has helped me cut out sweets when I don't need them. If I get a rare late night craving, I'm happy knowing I can reach for a scoop of steel and my body will thank me. I'm a health and fitness coach and I suggest this protein to all my clients. Keep up the awesome work guys!! Pics for proof of purchases haha. I'm one happy customer. OH! And a lot of the times they give free samples of other products when you order.
