I wanted a pitcher into which I could pour near boiling water for making iced tea and I've now done that dozens of times without any discoloration or problems. An added bonus is how easy it is to clean. It comes apart easily, although I didn't realize the blue slide stopper portion was removable until I'd played with it a while. (You have to slide it down the point you slide it to pour.) Then I just remove the silicone seals from from the lid and spout stopper and put the rest in the dishwasher. I have two now and don't expect to need more for a while, but when I do, I'll be looking for these again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy, Easy to Clean *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2016* A very solid water/tea pitcher. We haven't used it for anything else. The snap lid requires a bit of pressure to open and close, so it's not great for little kids or people who can't push down hard on a button and slide something back at the same time. Otherwise, it's wonderful. The mouth opening is small enough that there is no risk of unwanted over-spill.
