If this happened, the bulb would still light up, but Alexa wouldn't notice. It sounds like your bulb might have a problem with its seating in the light socket and is moving around slightly, causing it to lose power and then come back on again without informing Alexa. I suggest trying it in a lamp/similar to see if the same thing happens there, if so then worth trying to contact the manufacturer, but I suspect that is your problem. **Q: What is standby power consumption?** A: I have a Electric Smart Metre and when all bulbs are off during the day, it does barely show 0.01 usage when measured over 7 days, so mine 12 bulbs and plugs are not consuming much on stand-by. Does that help. **Q: The connection to wifi isn’t stable, other devices work fine. Is there a workaround or should I return it?** A: Yes, I had the same issue. The connection is unreliable if it even connects at all to the HomeKit. I ended up getting one from the Apple Store which connected within seconds and has been stable since the first time I connected it. I have a number of Meross products now, this is the latest to join my collection. I have to say, they are really easy to set-up, the instructions in the Meross phone app are perfect to guide you through the installation. They work as expected for brightness, on a par with the Phillips Hue bulbs which I also have. They are not quite as bright as the LifX Wi-Fi bulbs, but then they cost about one third of the price and you get two bulbs for that! Another great attribute is the shape. They are very close to the size and shape bulbs we have all been used to, unlike some other brands. I do like the way these Meross bulbs go through a colour change after finishing connecting; it’s cute. You will notice I have given 4 stars, not 5. The only thing that lets them down for me is the controllability in the app. Don’t get me wrong, you can do everything you need to, it’s just not as refined as something like Philips Hue. To be honest, it’s not going to matter much as you will likely just control them with you home AI device, which works brilliantly. In short. For the price they are, it’s an absolute bargain. If you are looking to start getting some funky colour lights that you can play with and don’t have a lot to spend, then do consider these. They are high quality and very inexpensive for what you get.
