Even with that, it didn't take long before I had to secure one end of the table to the wall to keep it from pulling up form the floor. In addition to that, my feet are big enough that I've always fought getting in and out of the table. So we decided to go smaller on the table pedestal, and found this one on Amazon. It's perfect, given that the table is connected to the wall with clamps (it can be easily lifted out of them), we could get away with something less substantial for the pedestal. This leg is easy to install, and importantly, it's easy to remove it and lift the table from the wall in about 1 minute, leaving a very small base that can stay in place. That allows us to put an air mattress over that spot when kids or grandkids are traveling with us.
