But, the overall construction feels very solid. I think these will last (received 3) a very long time. I got them to replace a fine diamond stainless file I have had for many years (I've misplaced it and still hope it turns up again!). These are like running your nails across the sidewalk in comparison to my old actual diamond file. Ah well. Modern times makes for shoddier promises. Part of the reason I ordered this set is the claim that it is a stainless double sided sapphire buffer file set. I wouldn't say these can be used as a Buffer file - if you want to buff your nail with these you will grind down through the nail in a couple of swipes. Be careful with them.
