Copper Wire is quite sufficient from 3rd floor tank to ground floor startor switch and quality is very good. But the alarm is fully 2 AA battery operated. NO additional AC connection is required. Very very easy to install. connect the alarm and sensor with wire. Put the batteries in the alarm. place the sensor approx 4-6 inches below the overflow pipe inside the tank. That's all.product is ready to use. Voice is moderately loud, can be heard easily. Only drawback is no led light is provided on the alarm. It will be difficult to judge whether system is on or off.
